Marvel has announced a new spy thriller, three animated Marvel Zombies specials and upcoming seasons of several popular series at New York Comic Con (NYCC).
Marvel Television and Marvel Animation unveiled their upcoming projects on October 8, including updates on Daredevil: Born Again, VisionQuest and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
The newly announced live-action series Zodiac will premiere on Disney+ in 2028, with filming scheduled to begin in London in spring 2027. Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum revealed the series logo but kept its storyline and casting details under wraps.
Marvel also confirmed three Marvel Zombies animated specials, scheduled for release between 2027 and 2029. Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier will arrive on Halloween 2027, followed by The Fist of Khonshu in 2028 and The Last Guardian in 2029. Bryan Andrews will return as director.
Meanwhile, the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will premiere on January 13, 2027. The animated series will feature Peter Parker facing Doctor Octopus and introduce Spider-Man's black symbiote suit. Harry Osborn and Nico Minoru will also appear in the new season.
Marvel offered a preview of VisionQuest, starring Paul Bettany as Vision, ahead of its Disney+ premiere on October 14. The series follows WandaVision and Agatha All Along, completing what Marvel has described as a trilogy. James Spader will return as Ultron in human form.
The panel also featured a preview of the third and final season of Daredevil: Born Again, expected to arrive in 2027. Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones appeared at the event. The footage showed Matt Murdock in prison and teased the return of members of the Defenders, including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand.
Marvel further confirmed that the animated series X-Men '97 will return for a third season, although details of its storyline remain undisclosed.
The announcements combine new projects with returning franchises, expanding Marvel's television and animation offerings on Disney+ over the coming years.
