K-pop group aespa’s Giselle left the stage midway through the group’s Seattle concert on October 9 after her health condition worsened, prompting her agency, SM Entertainment, to issue a statement.
According to the agency, Giselle experienced cold symptoms earlier that morning and received medical attention and treatment. As her condition improved, she decided to perform as scheduled.
However, her condition deteriorated significantly after the opening performance. Following discussions with the medical team and on-site staff, it was decided that she would not participate in the remainder of the concert or the scheduled fan events.
The agency confirmed that the Hi-Bye and Send-Off sessions would proceed with the other three members — Karina, Winter and Ningning.
SM Entertainment apologised to fans who had attended the concert hoping to see Giselle and said it would ensure she received the rest and care needed for a full recovery.
The agency also thanked fans for their understanding and continued support.
