Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed attacks on King Fahad International Airport in Dammam and several oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.
The claim came on Sunday, October 11, amid escalating tensions in the region.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group had targeted the airport in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, along with other strategic sites.
He also claimed attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Aramco’s Shedgum gas plant and the Tanajib oil facility.
Saree said the attacks were carried out in response to Saudi airstrikes in Yemen and threatened further attacks on Saudi Arabia.
Further details about damage and casualties from the reported Dammam airport attack were not immediately available.
