Design platform Figma has introduced new features to improve AI-powered design and website development, including design guidelines, interactive prototyping with code and website content management tools.
The announcements were made at the Indian edition of its Config conference on Tuesday, with TechCrunch reporting on the developments on Wednesday.
The new feature, Figma Specs, lets organisations document brand guidelines in plain language, helping AI agents follow design rules. Users can also add code directly to designs to create interactive prototypes and ask AI agents to generate or modify code.
Figma is also adding more than 20 tools to its Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, including tools from OpenCode, Dia, Grok Bot and Indian AI startup Sarvam.
The company is integrating its acquired open-source content management system Payload with Figma Make, enabling users to manage content for AI-generated dynamic websites.
India is Figma's largest market outside the United States. The company said 40% of the top 100 companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange use its platform.
