Woman kills self at Singra

SINGRA, NATORE, Oct 24: A 60-year-old woman died on Saturday after she allegedly took gas tablet in Singra Upazila of the district.
Deceased Abejan Begum, wife of Mozahar Sardar and a resident of Chhoto Baraihati Village, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) after falling ill following a family dispute.

Begum reportedly ingested a gas tablet at her home at about 5 pm Friday. Family members took her to Natore Sadar Hospital, from where she was referred to RMCH for advanced treatment. She died there at about 10 pm that night.

Officer-in-Charge of Singra Police Station Rafiqul Islam confirmed the death, saying legal action was being taken in accordance with the law.
