The government's failures and mismanagement have worsened the country's economic crisis, said Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju.
He said rising commodity prices, power and energy shortages, and deteriorating law and order had pushed the country towards uncertainty.
He made the remarks at a special meeting of the party's central editorial committee at its central office on Monday (November 2).
Manju said there had been no visible improvement in the banking sector or stock market. He also warned that fresh crises in the garment and migrant worker sectors could further affect the economy.
He called for national unity between the government and opposition to revive the economy and prevent the resurgence of what he termed Awami fascism.
