NCP holds inauguration of Kulaura committee

KULAURA, MOULVIBAZAR, Jan 22: The National Citizen Party (NCP) held the inaugural ceremony of its Upazila Committee in Kulaura of Moulvibazar on Wednesday afternoon.

The programme was organised in the town. Faruk Uddin Ahmed, Convener of the Upazila Committee, presided over the event, while Jahid Rumel, Joint Member Secretary of Jatiya Juboshokti, conducted the proceedings.

NCP Central Joint Member Secretary and the party's parliamentary candidate for Moulvibazar-4 (Sreemangal-Kamalganj), Pritom Das, attended the programme as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, he said those who seek to undermine the mass uprising of 2024 and devalue its spirit would pave the way for the return of fascism in the country.

"As long as we have blood in our veins and life in our bodies, fascist rule will never be allowed to return to this country," he said.

He further said the NCP would continue to work uncompromisingly to establish democracy, protect people's rights and build a justice-based state. He also called for strengthening the organisation from the grassroots to fulfil public expectations.

Among others, District NCP Convener Khaled Hasan, Senior Joint Convener Ehsan Zakaria, Organising Secretary Abdus Samad, upazila NCP Senior Joint Convener Shah Alam Sarkar, district Chhatroshokti Senior Joint Convener Raj Mustakim, district Juboshokti Joint Convener Tofael Ahmed, upazila NCP joint conveners Qayes Ahmed and Sabina Yasmin, and upazila Jamaat Shura member Rajanur Rahim Iftekhar were present at the event.
