Accused Shariful Islam Sharif is the office secretary of the Upazila Jubo Dal.

He was arrested from the Jadurani Bazar area of the upazila on Saturday evening.

According to the case statement, on Friday (March 13) the fourth class employee recruitment examination of Mednisagar Technical and BM College was being held at the office of the Haripur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).

During the examination, a group of people suddenly entered the premises and forcibly tried to snatch the examination script and important documents. This created disruption in the recruitment process.

Later, the college authorities informed the administration and police about the matter. A case was registered naming nine people, including Haripur Upazila BNP President Jamal Uddin. At the same time, 35 to 40 other unidentified people have been made accused.
