Social Welfare minister visits govt children’s homes on Eid-ul-Fitr

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Social Welfare Minister AZM Zahid Hossain on Saturday visited several government-run children’s homes in the capital.

His visits included the Mirpur Children’s Home (Boys), Tejgaon Children’s Home (Girls) and Azimpur Chhotomoni Nibas.

During the visits, the minister checked on the children’s well-being, including food, medical care, hygiene and overall living conditions. He spent time with the children, sharing in the spirit of Eid and observed the facilities, operations and environment while offering guidance to staff.

He also urged affluent members of society to support underprivileged children, saying that joint efforts between the government and private initiatives can bring meaningful improvements to their lives.
