Teenage girl takes own life

PIROJPUR, Mar 24: A teenage girl took her own life on Sunday afternoon in Mathbaria Upazila of the district. The deceased was identified as Brintika Promi, 14, daughter of Bipul Krishna Hawlader, a class eight student of KM Latif Institution.
Locals said, the deceased's hanging body was found from a fan in her room at a rented house behind Hospital Road in the town. Her permanent residence was in Shakarikhati Village under the upazila.
