Huge amount of Yaba pills recovered in Cox’s Bazar

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-15) recovered a large haul of Yaba pills from Cox’s Bazar district early Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB officials conducted a drive in Samitipara area under ward no 1 of Cox’s Bazar municipality and recovered a large haul of Yaba pills from the residence of Nawab Mia.

Sensing the presence of law enforcers, the suspect managed to flee.

RAB officials searched the house and recovered a total of 60,000 pieces of Yaba pills from the spot.

RAB-15 Assistant Director A M Faruk confirmed the incident.

A case has been filed with Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act and efforts to arrest the fugitive is underway, added the OC.
