CMP issues traffic guidelines for Pahela Baishakh celebrations

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has announced traffic control measures to ensure smooth movement and public safety during Pahela Baishakh celebrations in the city.
According to a CMP notification, all types of vehicular movement will be restricted in the DC Hill and CRB areas from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday.
Various cultural programmes will be held at Nazrul Square and CRB Sirishtala, adjacent to DC Hill. To facilitate the smooth movement of visitors, traffic control measures will be enforced in surrounding areas during the specified hours.
DC Hill Area: Traffic will be diverted through roadblocks set up at Love Lane (head of Nur Ahmed Road), Cheragi Pahar, Enayet Bazar intersection and Bose Brothers (Police Plaza) intersection. As a result, all types of vehicles will be restricted from entering the DC Hill area.
CRB Sirishtala Area: Traffic will also be diverted with roadblocks at Atmarsing, Francis Road, Wooden Bungalow and Open University intersections. Vehicular movement towards CRB Sirishtala will be controlled accordingly.
CMP has requested all drivers and passengers to follow the instructions to help ensure a safe and orderly celebration.
