Woman stabbed near Shaheed Minar

A woman was stabbed on Monday by a mugger with a sharp knife near the Central Shaheed Minar, turning her critically injured.
  
The victim identified as Najma Begum, 36, came from Narayanganj's Rupganj, was taking her daughter, Farzana Akter, to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment. 
According to family and police sources, Najma Geum is undergoing treatment at the DMCH emergency department.
Her daughter Farzana Akter said a mugger attempted to snatch her mother's wallet, and as Nazma tried to defend, the miscreant stabbed her above the eye. Now Farzana managed to hit back with her own wallet, the attacker managed to flee the spot.
