Teen drowns in Ctg pond

A teenager has died after drowning in a pond at Hathazari upazila of Chattogram district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as  Ashraful Rahman, 13, son of Toufiq and a resident of  Charia area under Mirzapur union of the upazila.

According to local sources and officials at Hathazari upazila health complex, Ashraful went to bathe in a nearby pond in the morning. After that when he didn’t return for a long time, family members began searching for him and eventually found his body floating in the water.

Family members rescued him and took to Hathazari upazila health complex, where Dr. Farzana Ahmed, the on-duty doctor declared him dead upon arrival.
