A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking an investigation into the role of former Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and the members of his council in measles vaccination programme.

The petition also sought a directive prohibiting foreign travel for 24 individuals, including Yunus and all former advisers.

The writ was filed on Sunday in the relevant branch of the High Court by Supreme Court lawyer Barrister M Ashraful Islam.

The cabinet secretary, the health secretary, the home secretary, the public administration secretary, and the director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), among other officials were made respondents.

Earlier on April 6, a legal notice was served demanding investigation into alleged criminal activities involving the transfer of vaccination programmes like measles from state to private control.
