COX’S BAZAR, June 09 Allegations of violation of a woman and her tenth grader daughter have occurred following a daring robbery at a corporate employee's house in the newly formed Matamuhuri upazila area of Cox’s Bazar. Police have detained six individuals for their suspected involvement in the incident.
According to police and locals, at around 230 AM on Monday, an armed gang of 8 to 10 robbers entered a house in Sikdarpara Dolonirghona village under Purba Baraveola union by cutting open a window grill. They looted cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables. Subsequently, the woman and her teenage daughter residing in the house were allegedly gang-raped.
Following the incident, locals rescued the victims and initially rushed them to the Chakaria Upazila Health Complex. Later, as their physical conditions deteriorated, they were shifted to Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital.
After being informed of the incident, law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. With assistance from local residents, they conducted a drive from early Tuesday morning and detained six individuals in connection with the case.
