PM departs for China after concluding Malaysia visit

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has departed for China after concluding his visit to Malaysia. He left Malaysia for China at 5pm on Monday (local time).

Earlier, on Sunday night, the Prime Minister and his spouse, Dr Zubaida Rahman, arrived in Malaysia on a regular Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight alongside ordinary passengers.

Upon his arrival, the Malaysian government accorded him a red-carpet reception and a guard of honour at the airport.

The Prime Minister’s delegation included a total of 23 official members, among them 10 individuals holding the rank of ministers, state ministers and advisers.

Mahdi Amin, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, told the media that the Malaysia visit marked a significant milestone in the history of Bangladesh-Malaysia relations.
