Agri incentives distributed in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, June 29: MP of Munshiganj-3 Constituency Md Kamruzzaman Ratan inaugurated an agricultural incentive distribution programme among marginal farmers in the 2025-26 fiscal year on Monday morning as the chief guest at the Munshiganj Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium.

Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafi chaired the programme. Munshiganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Golam Mostafa was also present.

Various agricultural inputs were distributed free of cost among the small and marginal farmers of the upazila under this programme with the aim of increasing agricultural production, ensuring safe food and encouraging farmers to engage in modern and profitable farming. Under this programme, a total of 600 farmers will be distributed high-quality seedlings of Aman paddy and DAP and MOP fertilisers. In addition, fruit, forest and medicinal plant seedlings, summer vegetable seeds, lemon seedlings and necessary agricultural inputs will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the upazila in phases.
