A Bangladeshi university student received the second prize in the International Youth Social Anti-Corruption Advertising Competition, “Together Against Corruption.”

On July 2, 2026, Russia's Chargé d’Affaires ad interim to Bangladesh, Vyacheslav Sentyurin, presented the award to Nadira Ahmedullah Sarker during a ceremony, said a press release.

Nadira is a Public Administration student at Bangladesh University of Professionals. She is also involved in art alongside her academic studies.

Explaining the concept behind her winning artwork, Nadira said the painting reflects the theme “Together Against Corruption.” She said the bold red title at the centre represents urgency and determination, while elements associated with corruption are depicted in black and white to symbolize their negative impact.

According to her, the brightly coloured section portraying people of different ages breaking chains and standing together represents hope, strength and unity in the fight against corruption. Everything connected to corruption is painted in black and white to show its negativity, she added.

During the award presentation, Sentyurin congratulated Nadira on her achievement and wished her success in her academic and creative pursuits.

The “Together Against Corruption” competition is organised annually by Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation. The contest invites children and young people from different countries to submit creative works aimed at raising awareness about corruption and its impact on society.
