Gas supply will remain suspended for 16 hours in parts of Gazipur and Tangail on Tuesday due to gas pipeline tie-in work, according to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC.

In a notice issued on Monday, the company said gas supply through the 10-inch and 20-inch, 140 PSIG pipeline from Joydebpur in Gazipur to Kumudini in Tangail will remain suspended from 8:00am to midnight.

As a result, industrial, captive and CNG customers connected to the pipeline in Joydebpur, Naojor, Itahata, Kodda, Konabari, Kashimpur, Mouchak, Safipur, Chandra (Palli Bidyut), Kaliakair and Mirzapur will be without gas during the period.

Titas Gas also warned that nearby areas may experience low gas pressure and apologised for the temporary inconvenience.
