Laxmipur Municipality declares Tk 87cr budget

LAXMIPUR, July 9: Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Laxmipur Municipality Administrator Samrat Khisa declared the proposed budget of Tk 86,61,12,149 of the municipality for the 2026-2027 fiscal year (FY) at a function held at the municipality hall on Tuesday afternoon.

The Municipality Administrator said that the total income in the proposed budget is Tk 86,61,12,149. Of this, the revenue sector income is Tk 60,95,50,000, the development sector income is Tk 20,22,00,000, and the initial balance is Tk 5,45,62,149. The total expenditure in the budget is Tk 83,33,00,000, and a surplus of Tk 3,06,82,149 has been estimated.

Municipality Administrator Samrat Khisa said that with the cooperation of citizens, it is possible to develop Laxmipur as a clean and liveable town.

At this time, Executive Engineer of the Department of Public Health Engineering Bilkis Akhter, Municipality Executive Officer Altaf Hossain, Executive Engineer Zulfikar Hossain, Accounting Officer Shahadat Hossain, and Social Development Officer Mozammel Hossain Kamrul were present, among others.
