PM inaugurates tree plantation programme of 2,500 trees at Gournadi

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated a simultaneous tree plantation programme of 2,500 trees along the newly excavated Sarikal Canal in Batajor Union under Gournadi upazila after reaching in Barishal district.

Under this program, 6,000 tree saplings will be planted on the banks of the Batajor canal.

Earlier, his motorcade reached Barishal around 9:30AM on Monday. Later, he joined tree plantation and family card distribution programme.

The prime minister had departed for Barishal from his Gulshan residence in the capital at 6AM.
