Two pistols looted from police station recovered in Ctg

The Detective Branch (DB-North) of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has recovered two foreign-made pistols looted from Doublemooring Police Station in Chattogram.

The two weapons were recovered from the Ambagan Railway Colony area of Khulshi Police Station in the city on Sunday afternoon.

The two Brazilian-made Taurus 9 mm pistols recovered were from Doublemooring Police Station, confirmed Ancharul Karim, police inspector of DB North, who led the raid.

He said that the raid was conducted based on information that weapons were being sold and bought behind Ambagan Railway Colony. On receiving the news of the raid, the terrorists abandoned the two weapons at the scene and fled. Later, after cross-checking, it was found that the two weapons were looted from Doublemooring Police Station on August 5.

He also said that efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the weapons loot.
