3 found dead in three districts

Three people were found dead in Pabna and Khulna districts and Amtali Upazila of Barguna District in two days.

PABNA: Police recovered the body of a female teacher of Chachkia BRAC School from the safety tank in the Ekdanto Village of Atgharia Upazila in the district on Thursday morning, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Atgharia Police Station (PS) Nazmul Hossain confirmed.
The deceased Gita Rani Biswas, 45, was the wife of Nanda Lal Biswas of the village.

According to police and local sources, Gita Rani’s husband Nanda Lal lives in Dhaka. Gita Rani lived alone in her village house. Miscreants allegedly kidnapped her early Thursday and set the house on fire. Later, locals doused the flame. But as Geeta Rani could not be found at that time, the police was informed. Later, the locals saw the body lying in the safety tank behind Geeta’s house on Thursday morning. The police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue an autopsy. 
OC Nazmul Hossain said the police and the CID have started an investigation into the matter.

KHULNA: Police recovered the floating body of a madrasa student from the Mayuri Residential Lake in Khulna on Thursday.
The deceased was Soaeb, son of Hasib Mia of Boyra Cross Road in Sonadanga and a student of a local madrasa.
Quoting family members, Sub-Inspector of Harintana PS Jahangir Molla said Soaeb had a habit of leaving home without informing anyone. 

He went out on Wednesday afternoon and did not return home. Family members searched for him at different places but couldn’t trace him. Locals saw the body floating in the lake around 9 am on Thursday. On information, police recovered the body.

The police said Soaeb may have slipped into the lake and drowned. An injury mark was found on his head. However, the exact cause of death would be known after a thorough investigation. The body will be handed over to the family after completion of the necessary legal procedures, police added.

AMTALI, BARGUNA: Police have recovered the body of an unidentified youth, 30, from the Arpangashia Canal in Arpangashia Union of Amtali Upazila of the district on Wednesday evening.

Police and local sources said that, locals saw a body floating in the canal and informed the police. Later, the police recovered the body and prepared an inquest report. 

According to locals, the body was in a semi-decomposed state and had insects on it. However, no one in the area could identify the youth.

Amtali PS OC Md Yakub Hussain said that the process of recovering the body and sending it to the Barguna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy is underway. Investigation is ongoing to identify the deceased. An unnatural death case has been filed with the PS in this connection.
