Midland Bank PLC has launched a new financing facility offering preferential interest and profit rates under both conventional loans and Islamic (Salam) financing for registered professionals, aiming to provide faster, more affordable access to credit for personal and housing-related needs.
The new facility was formally inaugurated during the bank's 183rd Board Meeting held on July 29, with Chairman Ahsan Khan Chowdhury presiding over the launch. The event was attended by members of the Board of Directors, including Master Abul Kashem, A.K.M. Badiul Alam, Hafizur Rahman Sarker, Shahnaj Parveen, Alhaj Mohammed Helal Miah, Md. Kamal Hossain, Abdul Alim Mondol, Independent Director Riaz Ahmed Choudhury, Managing Director & CEO Imtiaz U. Ahmed, and Deputy Managing Director Md. Nazmul Huda Sarkar.
Under the scheme, registered professionals,including doctors, engineers, chartered accountants, chartered secretaries, architects, dentists, pharmacists, and veterinarians will be eligible for financing to purchase a new car, build or buy a home, and meet other personal financial requirements.
According to the bank, eligible customers will benefit from preferential interest or profit rates, expedited loan processing, simplified documentation, dedicated relationship management, and discounts on selected processing and service charges.
Bank officials said the initiative is designed to offer convenient, affordable, and timely financing solutions for professionals while strengthening Midland Bank's retail lending portfolio.
The bank said it will continue introducing innovative financial products and services that create greater value for customers and support Bangladesh's inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
