Tk 23 lakh cheques distributed in Tangail

TANGAIL, Aug 6: Tangail Zilla Parishad Administrator Advocate SM Obaidul Haque Nasir as the chief guest distributed financial grant cheques worth Tk 23 lakh among helpless, distressed, poor meritorious students and medical service seekers at a programme organised in the Tangail Zilla Parishad conference room on Thursday. 

Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Shamshun Nahar Swapna chaired the programme. The Zilla Parishad officers, public representatives and beneficiaries were present at that time.

Advocate SM Obaidul Haque Nasir hoped that the amount of such assistance will be increased further in the future.

He also said that it is the responsibility of the Zilla Parishad to stand by the backward people of the society. If the support in the education and medical sectors continues, many families will benefit and the suffering of the helpless people will be alleviated to some extent.
