A Tk 3.27 crore bridge in Pekua, Cox’s Bazar, awaits opening after years of construction delays.

The Noakhali Bridge, which connects Barbakia and Rajakhali Unions, has mostly been constructed by Absar Enterprise under the supervision of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), but the construction of approach roads of both sides needs to be done.

Construction started around three and a half years ago but construction work was stopped many times, creating huge problems for locals, particularly during the monsoon season.

This bridge will help enhance communication among the people living in Barbakia, Rajakhali, and Magnama Unions and also Puichhari Union of neighboring Banshkhali.

Kofil, owner of Absar Enterprise, informed that construction work was completed and approach roads will be constructed very soon.
