Mirza Fakhrul named BNP nominee for 23rd president

BNP has nominated its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as its candidate for the country’s 23rd president.

The decision was taken at a meeting between BNP Chairman and senior leaders of the party.

Fakhrul has resigned from his post as BNP secretary general following the decision.

Members of the party’s Standing Committee, Chief Whip, Whips and joint secretaries general attended the meeting.
