A milad and dua mahfil was held in Noakhali on Saturday to mark the 82nd birthday of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The Noakhali District BNP organised the programme at the Noakhali District Jame Mosque, with BNP Vice Chairman and Noakhali-4 lawmaker Mohammad Shahjahan attending as the chief guest.
Special prayers were offered for Khaleda Zia’s good health and long life, as well as for the well-being of BNP leaders and activists under the leadership of the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Prayers were also offered for the restoration of democracy and the establishment of voting rights in the country.
A large number of leaders and activists of the Noakhali District BNP and its affiliated and associate organisations attended the milad and dua mahfil.
