Child killed by autorickshaw while crossing road in Bhola

A seven-year-old boy was killed after being hit by an autorickshaw while crossing a road in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola on Sunday morning.

The accident occurred in front of a Dakhil madrasa in Ward No. 8 of West Char Umed Union around the morning.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Abdullah, son of Monir Hossain of Hossain Choumuhani area in Ward No. 9 of Ramaganj Union.

According to locals, Abdullah was visiting his maternal grandparents in the area. He was crossing the road in front of the madrasa when he was hit by the autorickshaw, sustaining critical head injuries.

He was taken to Char Fasson Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.

Lalmohan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Oliul Islam said police were sent to the scene and legal action was being taken.
