Goalanda Jubo League president Yunus Molla arrested

Police have arrested Yunus Molla, 55, president of the Goalanda upazila unit of Jubo League and a former member of the Rajbari District Council, in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act, 1908.

He was arrested from his residence in Jurang Mollapara under Ward No. 2 of Goalanda municipality around 10pm on Sunday (August 16) in a joint operation by police from Rajbari Sadar Police Station and Goalanda Ghat Police Station.

Yunus Molla is the son of Olimuddin Molla of Jurang Mollapara. According to police, he was arrested in a case filed under Sections 3/6 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908. After completing the necessary legal procedures, police produced him before a court on Monday (August 17).

Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam confirmed the arrest, saying Yunus Molla was arrested from his residence on Sunday night and was later sent to the court after completion of the required legal procedures.
