Khulna dengue cases cross 4,604

Dengue fever cases have increased by 215 over the last 24 hours in the Khulna division. Among them, 181 patients have been admitted to government hospitals and 34 to private hospitals.

There were no new deaths reported during this period, which means that the death toll remains unchanged at 16.

The total number of dengue patients so far from January 1 this year has been recorded to be 4,604. In this total, 3,942 people have recovered while 571 are currently under treatment at hospitals.

Khulna district tops the list in terms of number of infections, where there have been 1,462 dengue cases, out of which 231 patients are being treated in hospital. Of these, 144 are being treated at Khulna Medical College Hospital. There are 104 dengue patients at Bagerhat, 45 at Jashore, 12 at Jhenaidah and 8 at Satkhira.

So far 575 patients are being treated for dengue in both government and private hospitals.
