Members of the Phulbari Battalion (29 BGB) confiscated Indian Eskuf cough syrup, narcotic tablets and Bangladeshi sexual stimulant syrup worth Tk 6,34,750 in four different anti-drug and anti-smuggling operations conducted along the borders of Phulbari and Birampur in Dinajpur.
BGB sources reported that members of Borogram, Dainur and Rasulpur BOPs and Birampur Special Camp seized 953 bottles of Indian Eskuf syrup, 2,500 Indian narcotic tablets and 353 bottles of Bangladeshi sexual stimulant syrup that were allegedly meant to be smuggled into the country on August 23 and 24.
The value of the confiscated drugs and smuggled items was Tk 6,34,750, BGB sources said.
According to 29 BGB Commander Arifuzzaman Arif, regular operations are being conducted to stop the movement of drugs and smuggling items in the border areas.
He further said that such operations will be carried out continuously to confiscate drugs and other smuggled items and arrest the people involved in them.
