74 arrested over various offences in Motijheel

Police have arrested 74 people in separate drives against various offences in different areas of Dhaka’s Motijheel division, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said on Tuesday.

DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Niaz Mehedi said the arrests were made during regular drives in different police station areas of the division on Monday.

Of the arrested, 11 were from Motijheel Police Station, 21 from Paltan, five from Sabujbagh, seven from Khilgaon, nine from Rampura, 10 from Shahjahanpur and 11 from Mugda.

Legal action has been taken against the arrested, the police official said.
