Tk 2 lakh taken away with pistol from Uttara

An accounts department employee of a developer company has been robbed of Tk 2 lakh with a pistol in Uttara area of Dhaka on Thursday (August 27).

The incident occurred at around 9:45 AM in front of Delicious Coffee Shop located in Sonargaon Janapath Road in Sector 11.

According to Noor Nafi Developers Limited, Nadim Ahmed Sujon, assistant accounts officer of the company, was going towards Janata Bank for depositing Tk 2.01 lakh in his rickshaw when a gunman blocked his rickshaw. After that three more persons joined the gunman and he threatened Sujon with a pistol, introduced himself as “Pistol Babu” and took away the amount.

Md Monir Hossain, managing director of the company said that Sujon was going to the bank to pay RAJUK fees.
