Railways secretary inspects dev projects in Rajbari

The secretary arrived in Rajbari on Friday to inspect the project sites.

He first visited the proposed site at Railway Shaheed Muktijoddha Khushi Railway Field in the district town, where a project titled “Stadium for the District” is planned.

He then inspected the proposed site at Azadi Maidan and the former Railway Hossenbag Cinema Hall area, where a “Rajbari District Cultural Complex” is planned.

Fahimul also visited a 105-acre railway land area in the district, locally known as a railway town, where a railway workshop project has been proposed. He inspected the area around the Rajbari massacre ground as part of the visit.

Later, he visited Rajbari Railway Station to inspect a project aimed at improving the station’s appearance and carrying out necessary renovation work.

Bangladesh Railway Director General Farid Hossain, Rajbari Deputy Commissioner Afroza Parvin, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tarifur Hasan, former joint secretary of Rajbari district BNP Gazi Ahsan Habib, Rajbari district Red Crescent Vice-President Manzurul Alam Dulal, former convener Naim Ansari, BNP leaders and activists, and local journalists were present during the visit.

After the inspection, the Railways secretary, the director general of Bangladesh Railway and the deputy commissioner planted saplings at the Rajbari massacre ground.
