Bottled soybean oil price up by Tk 5 per litre 

The price of bottled soybean oil has been increased by Tk 5 per litre with the approval of the Ministry of Commerce following a request from edible oil traders for a price adjustment.

The traders had initially sought a Tk 10 increase in the price of bottled soybean oil.

The decision was taken at a meeting between edible oil traders and Commerce Minister Khondkar Abdul Muktadir at his office at the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday. Following the meeting, the ministry allowed an increase of Tk 5 per litre, raising the retail price of bottled soybean oil to Tk 204 from the existing Tk 199.
