Three killed, one injured in bus crash in Feni

Three persons, including a covered van driver and an assistant with him, have been killed, and one person has also been injured following a collision of a Unique Paribahan bus against a stationary covered van at Muhuriganj of Chhagalnaiya upazila of Feni.

The tragic incident took place around 7:30 AM on Friday (September 4) near the Daulatpur Government Primary School in the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway.

Abu Noman, SI, second officer of Fazilpur Highway Police Station, said that a covered van had broken down in the Chattogram-bound lane when some workers were trying to tow the covered van using a long vehicle.

At that moment, a Unique Paribahan bus had collided with the covered van while driving at a very fast speed.

All the three occupants, i.e., the covered van driver and his assistant, as well as the bus driver, got killed instantly. The exact identity of the victims could not be established at once.

The injured person was saved and rushed to the Feni 250-Bed General Hospital.

The three vehicles involved in the incident were seized.
