The Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka Dynamic, District-347, has provided therapy equipment and other support to 115 children at Ramna Buddhi Protibondhi O Autistic School in Dhaka.
The initiative, titled ‘Children with Diverse Abilities’, was organised to support children with intellectual disabilities and autism and promote their wellbeing, development and inclusion.
As part of the project, the club donated various therapy equipment and machines to assist the children in their regular therapy and developmental activities. Goodie bags were also distributed among the students.
A cultural programme featuring performances by talented students of the school was also held as part of the event.
Sahira Anjum Mou, president of Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka Dynamic, said the initiative aimed to stand beside the children and support their wellbeing, happiness and development.
“Every child deserves love, care and equal opportunities,” she said, adding that the club wants to create a positive social impact through such initiatives.
She said 115 students would benefit from the programme and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to continuing similar social initiatives in the future.
District Chairman Momtaz Chowdhury, District Secretary Urbanna Chowdhury, District ISO Sanjida Sharmin and District Editor Sifat-e-Noor attended the event.
Among others, Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka Dynamic Secretary Samia Rahman, Treasurer Rachel Bernadette, Vice-President Boni Rahman and Editor Saraf Anika were also present.
