
NCC Bank has recently launched Bangla QR services at various selected retail merchant points across the country. The primary objective of this initiative is to expand the scope of cashless and digital transactions nationwide and ensure easy, fast, and secure payment facilities for customers.
The bank's Managing Director, M Shamsul Arefin, inaugurated the service by distributing Bangla QR codes to approximately 200 retail merchants at Sonargaon Janopath Road, the Ceramic Market adjacent to Tongi Chirag Ali Bus Stand, and Savar New Market, says a press release.
With the launch of this service, small traders, shop owners, and general consumers in those areas will be able to reduce their reliance on cash and make digital payments simply by scanning the QR code.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the bank's Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director; Mohammad Tariqul Amin, SEVP (Corporate Banking); A K M Jahidul Alam, EVP and Head of Operations; Md Jashimuddin, SVP and Region Head of Outskirt Dhaka; Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, SVP & Head of SME; Md. Sajjadul Islam, SVP and Head of ICT; Md. Anisur Rahman Majumder, VP and Head of Financial Inclusion Cell; S. M. TanvirHasan, Head of Retail Business Unit, DFS Business and Bangla QR, along with other senior officials of the Bank.
