The government has promoted 29 officers of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) to the sixth grade as Additional Agriculture Officers and equivalent posts.
The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed the promotions in a notification issued recently by its Extension-1 branch.
The decision was made based on specific recommendations of the ministry’s Departmental Appointment and Promotion Committee at a meeting held on September 2.
The promoted officers will receive senior scale benefits under the sixth grade of the National Pay Scale 2015, with a salary range of Tk 35,000-67,010.
The list includes Agriculture Extension Officers, horticulturists and instructors of Agricultural Training Institutes (ATIs).
The 29 promoted officers are Arafat Sultana Ferdousi, Md Mahabub Alam, Md Rafiqul Islam, Zarin Tasnim Niloy, Md Nazidul Islam, Md Aktaruzzaman Mia, Shahriar Ahmed, Mahmud Abdullah Al Noman, Dinesh Chandra Roy, Kamrun Nahar Mili, Md Fahim Hasan, Md Hamidul Islam, Mahmudur Rahman, Md Maydul Hasan, Sanjoy Kumar Sarker, Tanbin Hasan Shuvo, Madhusudan De, Syed Hasanul Kabir, Shahnaz Parvin, Farhana Afroze, Sushanta Deb Nath, Moha. Abdul Matin, Sumanta Rudra Pal, Shanta Islam Naurin, Md Zahidul Islam, Md Salauddin Kawsar Afrad, Md Humayun Kabir, Manzurul Arifin Shobuj and Adnan Mehdi.
The notification instructed the promoted officers to submit their joining letters promptly to their respective controlling authorities to assume the sixth-grade senior scale.
However, despite the promotions taking effect, they will continue to perform their duties in their previous posts and workplaces until further orders. New postings or changes in responsibilities will be made through subsequent orders.
