Rashed Khan urges talks instead of long march

Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Rashed Khan has urged political parties to solve differences over the July National Charter and referendum through talks.

Speaking at a CRAB event in Segunbagicha on Wednesday, he said political parties may have different views, but these should be solved through discussion.

Referring to the long march planned in Dhaka on September 19, Rashed Khan urged the parties to talk to the government instead. He said the programme could make the ongoing energy crisis worse.

On the local government elections, he questioned how an Election Commission commissioner could announce an election date without talking to the government.
