Patients receive free healthcare in Dhanbari

A free medical camp was organized by the Child Health Awareness Foundation, following the advice of Fakir Mahbub Anam Swapan, the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, to provide medical services to helpless and needy patients.


The camp was held on Friday (September 18) from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Asia Hasan Ali Women's Degree College in Dhanbari, Tangail, organized by Dr. Aslamul Islam Rudra, the Assistant Secretary for Human Rights Affairs of DAB (Doctors Association of Bangladesh).

 Here, more than a thousand patients received free medical consultations and medicines at the camp.

Dr. Reshma Anam, wife of Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam Swapan, inaugurated the event, where she stated that free medical camps would be organized at the union level across Madhupur and Dhanbari in the future, enabling underprivileged rural patients to easily consult qualified doctors at no cost; she expressed her firm commitment to continuing this initiative.
Specialist doctors from various hospitals provided medical services at the camp, and free medicines were distributed among the patients.


The medical team included Dr Reshma Anam, Dr Selina Begum, Dr Sharmin Akhtar, Dr Roksana Reza, Professor Dr Bijoy Krishna Das, Dr Nayan Ranjan Sarkar, Dr. Khan Amatun Noor Noha, Dr. Aslamul Islam Rudra, Dr Sajib Kanti Pal, Dr Saad Millat, Dr Niaz Morshed, Dr Shahriar Rahman Dipu, Dr Al-Amin Siddiqui, Dr Fakhrul Islam Hridoy, Dr Akhi Akhtar, and other physicians. Dhanbari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ms Nurjahan Akter Sathi, Dhanbari Upazila BNP President Principal M. Azizur Rahman, Vice-President Hafez Khairul Islam Munshi.

Also included Joint General Secretary Jahedul Islam Mohabbat, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Member Secretary Rashidul Hasan Plabon, Dhanbari Press Club General Secretary and NTV journalist Hafizur Rahman, along with various leaders and activists from the municipal BNP, Chhatra Dal, Juba Dal, and Mohila Dal, were present at the inauguration of the campaign.

Patients seeking services – including Dhanbari municipality residents Saleha Begum, Halima Begum, and Sabina Yasmin – expressed their appreciation for this humanitarian service provided by Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam Swapan and his wife, hoping that such services would be further expanded for the foreseeable future.
