Four senior DMP officials transferred

Four senior officials of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred, with Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Sarwar Hossain of the Gulshan Zone being moved and Md Aminul Haque Bappi of the Detective Branch replacing him.

The information was disclosed in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Saturday (September 19). The order also reassigned three other additional deputy commissioners.

According to the order, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Zahidul Islam of the DMP Intelligence and Analysis Division has been transferred to the Mirpur Zone as additional deputy commissioner.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Farzina Nasrin of the Mirpur Division has been transferred to the Pallabi Zonal Team of the Detective-Mirpur Division.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aminul Haque Bappi of the Financial Crime Investigation unit of the DB-Cyber and Special Crime Division has been transferred to the Gulshan Zone as additional deputy commissioner.

Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Sarwar Hossain of the Gulshan Division has been transferred to the Demra Zonal Team of the Detective-Wari Division as additional deputy commissioner.

Recently, the banned Awami League held a procession in the capital’s Gulshan area. The incident led to concerns over intelligence and security arrangements, following which the Gulshan division DC and OC were removed from their posts.
