New DG appointed to passport department

Major General Md Alimul Amin has been appointed director general of the Department of Immigration and Passports.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

Alimul Amin has been appointed on deputation, with his service placed under the Home Ministry.

Meanwhile, the department’s outgoing DG, Major General Md Nurul Anwar, has been sent back to the Army. His service has been placed under the Armed Forces Division.
