Major Gen Alimul Amin appointed new passport Director Gen

The government has appointed Major General Md Alimul Amin as the new Director General of the Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP), replacing Major General Md Nurul Anwar.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification on Monday, making the changes effective immediately in the public interest.

According to the notification, Major General Nurul Anwar (BA-3777) has been withdrawn from his post as director general of the Department of Immigration and Passports and his services have been placed under the Armed Forces Division.

At the same time, Major General Md Alim-ul Amin (BA-5027) has been appointed to the post on deputation. His services have been placed under the Ministry of Home Affairs for the purpose of his appointment to the DIP.

The notification was issued by the Deputation-1 branch of the Public Administration Ministry under the authority of the President and signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Nur-e-Alam.

The order takes effect immediately.
