Gas supply to remain suspended for 5hrs in parts of Dhaka

Gas supply will remain suspended for five consecutive hours in several parts of the capital, including South Paikpara, today (Tuesday, September 22) due to emergency pipeline repair works.

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited announced the temporary shutdown in a press release issued on Monday night.

According to the notification, gas supply will be completely cut off from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday to facilitate urgent maintenance work on the distribution network.

The affected areas include South Paikpara, Sonali Nagar, eastern and western parts of Bottola, and adjoining localities.

Residents in surrounding areas may also experience low gas pressure during the maintenance period, the statement added. Titas Gas authorities expressed sincere regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
