Cleanliness drive held at KiU

KISHOREGANJ, Sept 23: Kishoreganj University (KiU) held a cleanliness drive on its temporary campus on Tuesday to eliminate Aedes mosquito breeding grounds and prevent the spread of dengue.

The “Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Drive-2026,” held at noon, drew teachers, officers, employees, and students who cleared stagnant water, waste, and garbage across the campus.

KiU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Habibur Rahman attended it as the chief guest, with Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr G M Shafiur Rahman presiding. Treasurer Prof Dr Md Abdus Salam Akand joined as a special guest.

Among others, Principal of Gurudayal Government College Md Siddiqullah, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics Md Humayun Kabir, Chairman of the Department of English and Assistant Proctor Professor Md Rakibul Alam, President of the university unit of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Mashrafi Bin Mortuza, and General Secretary Zahidul Abedin Nafsi spoke at the programme.
