Hasina, 33 others charge hearing deferred to Oct 8

Hossain, a truck driver, was shot dead in Mohammadpur’s Chand Udyan area on July 19, 2024, during the anti-discrimination student movement.

His mother, Rina Begum, filed the murder case with Mohammadpur Police Station on August 31, 2024. Investigation officer Sub-Inspector Akramuzzaman submitted a charge sheet against Hasina and 33 others on November 23, 2025.

Twenty accused, including Hasina, are absconding. The court issued arrest warrants against them on January 26.

Former ministers Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Hasan Mahmud and Jahangir Kabir Nanak and former Chhatra League leaders Saddam Hossain and Sheikh Wali Asif Enan are among the absconding accused.
