Ajay Devgn faces notice over spa at Mumbai residence

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has received a stop-work notice from the local civic authority over allegations that a salon and spa centre was being opened without permission at his residential bungalow in Mumbai’s Juhu.
The notice was issued following a written complaint from a local cooperative housing society, which objected to the use of the residential property for commercial purposes.
Officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reportedly sought the necessary documents and permits from Devgn’s representatives. The representatives allegedly failed to produce the documents, after which the civic body ordered the work to be stopped.
The Devgn family has reportedly sought one month to arrange the necessary documents.
Residents of the area have raised concerns over increased footfall, vehicle parking, security and noise pollution. They also expressed concern that the narrow internal roads in the neighbourhood could face additional traffic pressure.
However, a source close to the Devgn family claimed that the activities had been started after following the necessary legal procedures and obtaining the required permissions.
The development comes after Devgn was recently involved in a legal controversy over an advertisement for a pan masala brand alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Tiger Shroff.
